Hockey

Posted by tcwxc on January 21, 2008

If you haven’t been here for a while, you should look at the archives. <<<I went to a hockey game last night, and saw our team defeat Alpena 4 – 1.When I first got there it was half way thru the first period, and the score was 2 – 1 . I don’t know who did what up until then. I did see David Hanrahan play some great defense as well as score a goal that he wove thru the crowd on his own during powerplay. Jake Nickerson played with intensity (I knew he could apply) and scored a goal himself on an open net at the end of the game. Eric Rivard, well we gotta get him to apply to XC, what I saw him doing on the ice. The guy can play and mix it up. Mitch Snider was of course sitting out right now due to having broken his wrist when he was squashed between 2 Cadillac guys in a previous game. So I imagine he’s anxious to get back in there.       ____ Good job guys!  You others – we should be getting out and seeing our team members perform in their other sports. There is definitely not enough support of sports in this school. Going to games and matches is a simple way to make a difference. It also gets you out and doing something good.  >>>>>>>> Also on Saturday Casey Goss survived the “Timberlane Hill” during the Frozen Foot race and cruised in strong thru the balance of the race. Geoff Burns went up against familiar arch rival  and friend Jacob Secor and won going away. He broke him on the previously mentioned hill and ran strong all the way home. Good job guys! So how about the rest of you? Been out sledding lately?   Z

SATURDAY racers / runners

Posted by tcwxc on January 17, 2008

Hey I forgot to mention in my previous post, (which you should read) that I’m inviting any of you who run the frozen foot race over to my place afterward for hot chocolate. Maybe some chili if I can manage. This is purely intended to lure you team members out to participate in the run this Sat., and the offer only stands for those who run. Hope to see you there… and here!   Z
